Laptops for 1,200USD

I'm looking for a laptop that is in the $1,000-$1,200 price range. Not interested in PCs because I need something I can carry around. Also, I don't need the laptop for any specific purposes such as gaming.


Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

Really isn't a reason to spend over $1,000 on a laptop not dedicated to anything?

If you give me a few things you'll be using the laptop for, I could help you out.

 

It's for university and just general use. My current laptop is quite old and I thought I might as well get a decent one if I'm upgrading it.

 

Any idea the size of the screen you'd like?

 

I'm not particularly concerned with the size. Anything is fine with me; just trying to expand my choices before I decide which laptop I should get.

The reason I ask is because I never buy electronics at full price, I can find a few deals for you though if you shoot me some ideas of size/specs/uses.
