    Computer randomly shutting down

This has never happened to me before but this morning it shut down 3 times in a row randomly when I turned it on. Usually in the first 2 mins of it being on. It runs and then it just turns itself off. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Sounds like either CPU or graphics card overheating or PSU breaking down, some more details would be nice like Tux mentioned.

I've recently downloaded a few movies but I doubt that's it. They had a few thousand seeders and lots of comments etc. I do usually keep my computer on all day, every day for the past 1-2 weeks because I'm botting.

Well since you keep your computer open all the time, it sure might be something overheating. If its CPU thats overheating, those have safety mechanism to shut it down before it breaks. Although it might be the Power supply aswell, or the graphic card. So i suggest to clean all the dust from your computer asap, and scan hardware diagnostics.

Does the computer makes a sound when it shuts down?

I'd check the CPU fan, it's the most likely option, or if you aren't so good at computers, take it to an expert so they check the fan and the heat sink.

Sounds like a power supply problem, or some type of hardware problem. Are you getting any errors?

A far fetched possibility is that you have a RAT and the person controlling it is shutting off your computer so fun.

Is it a laptop? see to it your CPU isn't overheating. Some will clock down, others trap out when you hit a certain temp. Shit just might need to be cleaned.

If your comp keeps shutting down at inconsistent intervals. I.E. you're not starting a specific task when it kills. My 2 guesses would be internal/external power supply or burnout prevention on your cpu.
