    Which one is best?

I must have the best computer possible, for the best price, for an "administrative position at a hospital".

    Cheers.

I Would consider the hp A6660t series one. Its fast and will run the windows quite well. Spybot search and destroy is not the best but you should think about purchasing Avg.

S&D works well enough, though...and it's just for clerical-type work.

    Get the iMac

The bigger screen is the main reason I'm suggesting this. HUGE increase in productivity, and IMO, any of these computers is way overkill for an office job.

You could work with a $500 vostro so long as it had a nice screen.

for JUST writing things, I'd recommend getting a far cheaper computer then this, you don't need Core 2 Duo for Word. And if you DO want a pretty fast computer for a bit of gaming too, I'd say build it yourself, if you're up for it, saves alot of $ I think, depending on what you want to put in there as far as motherboard and stuff, it could save you ATLEAST $100. But if I HAVE to pick one out of the list, it'd be the HP AT6660T.

    Don't go mac...

Are these your only options or can you purchase another computer?

    If you can
    What is your price range?
    Laptop or desktop?

I'd say it's a toss up between the two on the right as one has a more powerful processor and the other has more RAM.

Any of them could do what you want with considerable ease but like jansen said a bigger monitor is definitely a plus for clerical-type work.

If it has to boil down to those three choices, I would definitely recommend the third Dell Vostro option for that sort of work, the larger monitor will make the difference. If I were going on specifications alone, I would say option 2 though.

I'd say either the iMac or the Vostro. OS X is a beautiful operating system, and I'm sure you'd love it. It's both stylish and functional. If you don't fancy much of a change though, get the Vostro.

I'd go with the a660T. Just because of the speed.

Don't expect to do any serious gaming on these though. The video is integrated.

I'd say the second. It's the most balanced of the three, and it isn't a mac.
