How to Help in Scam Reports

This thread is directed at the community as a whole:

I think I speak for the entire staff team by requesting a little extra time be taken from most of you when filing scam reports. As you can see, the entire section has backed up badly. You can do your part in the future by making reports short, simple, and full.

Some tips to help us out:

-Link us to their profile. It helps us run evader checks as well as issue the ban.
-ALWAYS show a screenshot as well as a linked post showing a match to the MSN in the pics.
-Avoid submitting entire conversations. We only need the whole conversation that happens AFTER a trade starts.
-Host raw images, not a video or a slideshow. These are sometimes impossible to read, at least without investing in a lot of time and possibly a magnifying glass.
-Show ingame shots that prove a trade happened. Take a pic of the last trade screen (which shows the RSN of the trading party) as well as the screen immediately after that says Trade Complete!

I do my best to fill out scam reports in whole.

Sometimes I may not be able to provide everything 100%
But when I do I make sure that the only links you need to click are:

The scammer's thread
The scammer's profile

So all other visual evidence is there without making you look through albums.

 

One thing I can suggest as far as screenshots go, is get ScreenSnapr. It's a great screensnapping tool, and it automatically uploads the photos for you and they don't get scaled down, so we don't have to deal with the constant "Re-upload your pictures, we can't read them"

My iPhone auto corrected "scam reported" to "spam reports".... Not sure why it did that.


Gohan: you know as much as the rest of us that stickying something makes it get read about 10% as much as it normally would.

I try to help.
I report the scam reports that don't have enough info to prove anything. And missing info etc.

But yea, making a sticky won't do anything :/
We have 7 stickies there now, and still no one wants to read them. Yet it says GET YOUR REPORT READ QUICKER blahblah etc.

 

Hopefully Blupig finishes his template format and it actually works.

It says that no thread is specified.

But it looks like screensnapr makes for a safer trading environment in providing proof that the trade took place.

Probably a good thing to get since I having been doing a few rsgp trades lately.
