Community Activities

I am pondering some ideas as we as a community haven't done anything together or had any competitions in a long time.

I was thinking of having some lotterys like we used to but this time simply with RSGP to avoid paypal issues. Full details can be discussed here and will be released later.


Also possibly a pool tournament on pogo.com and things of this sort.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

 

It would be great to get some competitions going. How about a poker tournament? I'll think of/find more ideas later.

e: Anyone running member of the month this month now that HHN is away?

 

Definitely, this was my plan for the SOTW and hence why I have a RSGP award to hopefully get some more people interested and involved.

I'd love to get a community event together on RS or something on the forums perhaps.

 

Getting the community more active would be great. I just vote we stay away from the wilderness

Definitely. More community activities sounds good to me. I would love to have RS events, a pogo tournament, or a lottery.

 

I like this idea, would get people or involved, and members would get to know one another. I'd love to see a lottery, maybe a Pking tournament?

 

I like the idea of the RSGP prizes, as it could be the gp that has been donated to the site

 

I'll start it up in the morning. Last 2-3 times I've done it, it's been too inactive. Hopefully I can make it active again.

 

Sounds good, i suck at pool, but i guess theres lots of other games out there we can all play together.

Chess would be fun. I can try and start some Poker tourneys also. 5-10M entry fee, etc. Winner gets all.

 

I would love to have a RSGP lottery. Would it be funded by the RSGP people use to buy a ticket, or would there be a minimum pot PLUS what users pay with for tickets? Also, how about monthly drop parties or something? You can have people from sythe meet on a world and parade through Runescape advertising an awesome drop party. Once you get to your destination, you can also say something about how it's sponsored by sythe.org.

COD and Halo competitions would also be fun..

I'd like to have rsgp lotterys maybe once a week/10 days. Every blue moon we could also play Sythe Mega Millions, 25m to enter, 25 users - 625m winner take all.

A lottery also seems like a great way to get donations. A small chunk of it goes to Sythe, and the rest goes to a winner. It's in RSGP, of course. A 100% winner lotto would be sweet, too.

I'm all up for a poker contest. I think with the group of people on the forums that will probably get the biggest popularity.
