What my luck...

Yesterday, I was driving my quad (atv) on the streets (illegal) and can be put in jail for 24-72 hours.

Well.

I saw a garage sale...

I pulled off to the curb and put my parking brake on.

But I left my mother fucking quad in neutral..
The hill was a 45 degree ish.

Im looking inside, the person has their Mini Van parked on the street..
Then we both turn around (he is a 40 year old mature old)
And look at each other, me: "shit" him: "oh fuck"

The 700 lb quad is going towards the minivan with no brakes.
Probably 15 miles an hour.

I have a steel front bumper on my quad.

So, I start sprinting towards the quad to attempt to stop it.

Bam a loud crack.

The entire front bumper has to be replaced. There is a giant large hole in the front.

Cost? : Will update when I find how much..


Well, atleast it didn't damage my quad? :S

 

That sucks man... was owner pissed at all?

 

At first I was cussing my head off, all.
But then he made me go get my drivers liscence..
But im 16, don't have mine yet!
He looked at my old school ID and then from there he just was calm ,talked to my parents and all.
I am not sure if me or my parents will be paying for the damage yet as it can range from 600 to 1500

 

did anything happen to the other person ?

 

That's a pretty dumb mistake, I'm sure you learned your lesson though, it could happen to anyone. Do you have to pay for the damage or are your parents paying for it?

 

Well at least no one was hurt in the incident.

 

Ah man, should have just turned the quad off lol. Atleast he didn't call the cops or whatever.

 

Accidents happen all the time! My friends dad backed up into my car when I slept over and hit the bumper/left quarter panel. Made me breakfast in the morning then was like Hey I hit your car but I'll pay for it! Ended up costing about $2,300 in damage
