cold shower?

I always give in to temptation and take hot shower. feels so darn good. but then when I get out it is hell. specifically my palms and face. skin there is very damaged. face will feel dried out. lots of sun damage.

is cold shower best shower?

 

During football season I would take a warm shower then turn it all the way cold at the end of the shower to fully wake my body up after morning practices

 

This, call em "James Bond showers" because in the old books that's how he did it.

You get a lot of the health benefits this way and it closes up your pores after they are nice and clean. Helps a lot with your skin and really makes you feel good.

 

Can vouch for this. I read into the benefits of cold showers some time ago and I've been taking 2-3 a week ever since.

 

Cold showers definitely help after I cleanse my face. Closes up the pores. Although you do have to be very careful if you go from very hot to very cold you could get Cold Water Shock, which could seize up your muscles.

 

I've been taking cold showers for more than a year now and so far, the experience has been great. There are several benefits of taking cold showers! Last to not mention, it wakes the fk outta you if you do it in the morning!

 

Showering with cold water is better for your skin. I'd advise you to take cold showers instead, it's not that bad.

 

Full on cold showers are brutal as, I've been on/off doing what nodnarbusn and Pieyou have suggested. There's supposed to be a slew of effects that you can expect as a result but what I've noticed is that it doesn't always give me an energy boost or "wake me up". Odd.

 

After reading these comments, I'll start ending my showers with cold water. I always shower with hot water, its not even mild... I know its bad but I'll start making the necessary changes now.

 

I've always taken hot showers, I've always had really healthy skin.

I do a lot of things that probably aren't the healthiest, so giving up warm showers won't on my list anytime soon

 

I didn't even know cold showers had benefits. Maybe I'll try it out.

 

I usually take warm showers. I take a cold shower after Ive had training to help relax/repair my muscles helps me recover and keeps me from injury.

 

Warm/Hot showers all the way. If you aren't a very active person (athletically speaking), it isn't very productive to do. The cold does help inflammation, but it doesn't help arthritis. It will lock your muscles up. If you're a lazy fuck who sits at the computer all day, it's not for you.

 

Hot shower is best shower. The only part that sucks is getting out of the shower and feeling the cold from the outside all over your body.

 

Probably best speaking to you doctor if you're suffering with this regularly.

try a warm shower, find a middle point that doesn't aggravate the problem.

^^ Getting out the shower turns into a mad dash to getting dried and clothed.

I wouldn't say cold showers are best but I would say COOL showers are amazing.

You have to find that middle ground between cold and warm and that will be the best for your skin (like going swimming in a lake in the middle of summer).

 

Beat feeling: go for a run on a hot day, get home and take an ice cold shower
