Can anyone here get rid of bans for Halo Matchmaking?

One of my Xbox's recently got banned for no reason and it was for a month from Halo 3 Matchmaking. Does anyone know a way you can get rid of the ban? I've heard there's a way with people who own JTAG's that they can get rid of the console ban? I'm not too bothered about getting the account unbanned it's just the console as I would like to play on it ^^. I hope someone could help me out thanks!
