You used Gimp and got that? Buddy.. go to www.planetrenders.com (Or get a pack of sprites from someone) and use some tuts.. Here it is for Gimp.. http://www.gimp-tutorials.com

Ohh.. yeah it was, but I realized 1) It's big, 2) It's gay

They are graphics, pictures, landscapes, etc. without a background, allowing you to mess with them easier.
Work with some of the tutorials, after you get A LOT BETTER then move up to Photoshop.. But get rid of your siggy, cuz it be crud olol.

 

Yer get some tuts, renders from www.gamerenders.com (i think thats the site lol) or www.planetrenders.net then get some good fonts form www.dafont.com also get some brushes from just about anywhere lol.. www.deviantart.com is a good place to get them from and they have gimp brushes aswell as photoshop ones.
After that try making a sig and dont try a reflection either because you cant do them...
