How to get started on making a very simple bot...

Years ago I used SCAR to make an autominer and I thought it was really fun. I didn't really understand why it was working because I was basically copying a guide. Now I want to make an even more simple script, but I just dont know where to start, a good client to use etc...

I dont have much programming experience, but I am no nooby. I have used python for a few months now and I have also made a very simple info based website. The script I want to make will do something very simple, like fletch a particular item, bank it, withdraw it, and repeat. Any tips on where I can get started?
