Cleanest Game in a While

I was not very optimistic when I saw their team comp before the game started, but picking up cleanse certainly helped me stay alive, and most likely is the reason we won the game.

Zyra was continually hitting CS, either stealing it or making me lose it. It was frustrating for me to deal with, but I decided to use that as a reason to shove to the turret, as I felt Morgana wouldn't be very effective standing behind it. As a result, we got the 1st turret down very early on, which made it more difficult for me, as no one on our team was warding (pretty much the whole game). I did buy a couple pink wards early, however.

I really tried to be conscious of my position for this game and tried not to make any mistakes.
This truly felt like the first time I've played an absolutely perfect game (although my CS could be higher ).

 

Pretty impressive not dying with all the CC on the other team. Not to mention you had a pretty front-line oriented team haha.

 

Do people still buy trinity? I always thought that the standard build is now ie-->shiv/yomumus-->lw-->bt then defensive with lucidity boots. Anyways nice job.

 

Cough Silver. Most likely that mummy and morg couldnt land Q's XD, good job however dude.

I tend to go BF->Brutalizer->[complete IE]->Youmoo's->Shiv->LW/BT with lucidity boots/vamp scept somewhere after the IE.

However a couple of points, I feel that the cleanse pickup really wasnt necessary, for a start you're god damn lucian! If you really need to just grab a QSS/Merc lategame… If that vayne was decent she'd have crushed you just for that cleanse pickup.

And your buildpath.. soo Season 3 XD. I know people say preference > all however look at their teamcomp, i know if i was playing adc vs that teamcomp i'd want to spend as little time as possible being within auto attack range of any of them (especially with 500 range lucian), thus you built an extremely auto attack oriented lucian. I'd have gone with the CDR burst lucian against that comp.

However it worked well for you so good job sorry for tl;dr/hate lel #lucianmain <3

 

Not bad at all. I still prefer Caitlyn to Lucian.

Thanks. I just tried to stay in the back, although a lot of the team fights happened early on while I was trying to control the side lanes, so I got to some fights late.

I like building trinity just because of the burst damage I get from the sheen proc.

I've tried other builds, but I subconsciously purchase phage as my first item a lot. I need to change that.

I would like to try that build out. The Amumu actually landed his bandage toss way too many times, but I cleansed it immediately and played safe until it came back off cooldown.

I should have been punished in lane, but I kept the lane shoved so much (we had ward coverage), that the enemy couldn't really do anything about it... Well, aside from the times Amumu swung by to try and gank, but he seemed to be a non-factor as we secured the first turret and moved on to the mid-game.

Cleanse is never necessary, but it can be useful for scrubby Silver players like me.

I've historically been horrible with Caitlyn. I don't know why this is, but she's one of the few ADC's that I almost never win a game with. I have not played her much at all this season.

Please don't make fun of my build. I was going to try out what Heeatz had suggested, but I accidentally purchased parts of the trinity force early on. I built a BT thereafter and so on. I'm not sure why I purchased the cutlass at the very end of the game, but I probably was thinking of getting an item to help me disengage as they were trying to jump on me so much. I probably would've been better off just buying a banshee's, but we won the game nonetheless.

I'm still somewhat upset with my build path for this game.

I like it, trinity isn't even that awful of a buy. The blade/ghostblade combo is something I just never liked that much compared to blade/ie. I mean when you're ahead as an adc its pretty easy to get more ahead. Plus cleanse is a completely rational choice even against a vayne as you cleanse knockback and you could probably 1v1 her if she didn't have heal up, but late game vayne does shit on lucian normally.

 

Good stuff but i do agree with people on this thread supporting the ie/gb build over tf

 

I tried the blade/ghostblade build a while back, but it seemed to be really hit or miss. If you were doing this build and you're behind, I feel it's hard to contribute to team fights as you don't really have much damage.

Typically, Vayne's should shit on Lucian, so I'm glad I didn't have to face that.

Yeah. I wanted to try this out, so I finally got the chance to.

They surrendered as we were taking their nexus turrets at 22 minutes. The burst damage is incredible with the brutalizer alone, lol.

 

The team with the stupidest team comp will always win in solo q.

 

far better build you had that game imo, which one did you prefer?

 

I didn't really get to use it for very long, but it seemed to do some great damage.

I hope to test the build out a bit more before making a judgement.

 

I see. For lucian, in terms of most important, CDR > Crit > Attack Speed

In my opinion anyway, Low CD dash is always helpful for me.

Also what do you max? Q>W>E or Q>E>W?

 

I got to promo's for Gold V.

My first promo game we had a leaver. I went 21-4 and then died 3 times at the end as we lost the game, ending at 21-7. It was unfortunate because we had a Fiora top that just wasn't good. If they knew what they were doing and stopped getting caught so much, we could have certainly won.
(5th death let them get Baron, 6th death let them get inhib, 7th death won let them win the game)

I generally max Q>W>E, although I like 2 points in E early on just to have a quicker cooldown (although the passive proc is nice, the mana expenditure can stack up quick).

I always start with Q>E or E>Q to start a game. It's very rare I start with E, but I like to place a deep ward early on, so I wait to level my first skill.

Interesting, i stick with 1 point in W early, generally i just throw my w anywhere for the passive proc, so levelling doesnt really help me.

Yeah. I'm NA. Lost promo for Gold btw. Hadn't had any problems all the way up, then I got leavers, feeders, and trolls in 3/4 promo games.

That seems to happen to me sometimes, i get absolutely sick teams (like 2/3+ lanes winning/even) until i hit promos, where they drop me with 3 lost lanes/afks/feeders etc l0l.
