Clean The Rare section

I mean if you are like me an avid trader of rares you will have come to know the annoyance of having a "buying" section and a "selling" section.

Nobody looks onto the buying section and then posts " yeah i'll sell you"... people are much more active in the selling section and if u want your item that you are buying to be seen you'd want to post in the selling because it will get much more attention. However, if you do that be prepared for a lethal injection of infractions that will bomb you so hard you'd have no account to log in to.

Posting in the buying section will not just waste your time because you'll never get the attention you'd want... but also in most cases never get you the item so???


My suggestion - I believe the community would become much much greater and much more active if sythe would cut out the buying section and just unite them both as one.

1. It will cause greater activity
2. It would make it so people are aware of any dodgy traders since
everyone will be in one section.
3. It will make things much easier ( getting your item )
4. people will look to use sythe much more because it is a good site and much better than the fair other fairly used ones.
5. It will make alot more trades happen much quicker and that in turn will make people distinquish the scammers from the real legitimate buyers.
6. It will also make sythe look much more clean.


All in all i think its a much needed tweak because alot of people i've questioned ( because i dont just create a suggestion just like that. Takes research and getting opinions ) say that it would make their sythe experience much more compelling.


Its worth having a look at because it will only take this site from a Good to GREAT.

Selling section ( 27) Buying section (3)

I think that alone tells its own story.


Combining the two with buying and with selling makes buying and selling much easier.

Even some Highly trusted and market mods post on the selling simply because they will get buyers quickly coz with 27 browsing the seller and 3 browsing the buying.. i know where i'd post up.

Its simple really and how you cannot see that is quite incredible.

 

I actually dont think its a bad idea. Making it one section forces everyone to look in it, giving more coverage for both buyers and sellers.

actually he has it right. You're = you are, your = statement of possession/ownership so he has the correct one. I love when someone acts like grammar police only to correct someone who had it right in the first place. The irony...

Also OT I agree with this suggestion, buying section is unused and you might as well merge them to make for a cleaner forum.

 

No support, In my opinion this will create more confusion and there will be a lot more threads in one section making it less likely your thread will be noticed. If some one is looking to sell a rare and has some common sense they will check the buying section

Soon as ppl wanna buy something they automatically go for the place with high activity ( naturally ) because thats where the customers are.


i do believe it will be better for the trading forum for them both to be merged just like the runescape forums. There will be no confusion rather a more cleaner more straight to the point rare trading

I do think this is a good idea, the selling sections tend to out-weigh the buying sections.

 

Please do not continue to spam this thread with grammar or spelling mistakes, everybody makes them. If you feel you need to really do something about it, PM them, don't post it here.

Just so I can stay ON-TOPIC here; this idea could apply to almost all of the other Runescape Market sections as well.

OT: No support, any buyers can look in the selling section as well. Having them both combined will make it too cluttered and too hard to find "selling" threads among the mixed in "buying" ones.

Are you telling me you cannot see what is what ? and that its too cluttered? thats not valid i'd think. It works very well in the runescape forums imagine if they seperated how confusing it will become its quite unimaginable. I know for sure you'd like it once its been implemented if it is.

You might think its not a good idea because its not happened and u not seen what it does but have a little faith and it will work out great.

I think this is a completely unique idea. It should definitely be done, it's so hard to buy items in the rares section. I think also there should be a sticky of prices. Hope that Ndaha's idea is taken into action.

Works good ont he wow markets, you only have the categories separation, but the buying and selling threads are in the same forums.

 

Being fairly new to Sythe, after joining in hopes of finally attaining a green phat once I manage to get the rsgp, this sounds like a great idea. My mostly browsed areas are the rares and gold selling and this would help out everyone. The people trying to buy rares mainly get responses from new people/ randoms, rarely legitimate/ well-known rare flippers. And for all the people saying "OMFG I CANT READ GOOD!@!" or that it will cause too much "clutter", an easy way around this would to just make it mandatory to start the title with either:
[Buying] - (insert item(s) here)
[Selling] - (insert item(s) here)

 

Yeah I agree, putting them both into one section would just be convinent.
