    so being chinese myself i will personally be looking forward to it and for you who don't know we also receive money called 'red packets' something nice to put in our pockets :D

    The celebrations in London town are great. Been a few times myself, despite not being chinese. It's still good fun to see the dragon going through the street.

    aww :( im sure it'll come soon enough lol, i need one giant one after crashing my car Wednesday and can't wait to get slaughtered by insurance, shame i don't live in the us where you see 18 year olds in mustangs

    Do you have to be Chinese to get a red packet? For instance if i were in china would someone give me a red packet in celebration for new years?

    btw how do your keyboards look in china since they dont have any alphabets?

    "Gong-Shi Fat Choi" is the term. And the Red Packets are typically given to children by adults of relation. Although I have received money from teachers and family friends. Happy lunar new year!

    Most of the time yes, but I'm sure some store or tourist sites give red packets out for advertising, but there probably wont be any money in the packet, just a coupon or ad of some sort. And most Chinese keyboards look like American keyboards. Pinyin is used to translate the American letters into Chinese characters.

    Happy chinese new year guys.. ahh yes the red packets.. i use to love getting them when i was younger, swear i got so many of them! i probably only got like $50-$100 in total but id have like 10-20 of those red packets lol
