[$5] Make $50 and hour guide!

No this wasn't put in the wrong section. Yes it was meant to be in the Feedback forums. Many people are starting to sell their $5 guides which will teach users to make $50/hour which is pretty ridiculous, common sense says.

They would better be off making their $50/hr then trying to post here and get buyers, wouldn't they?

Furthermore, most of the methods are probably crappy stuff that don't even net $5/hour. I hope we can ban and disallow such guide sales.

 

According to the rules all guides have to be runescape related. If they meet that requirement then who are you to say that their guide should be banned? They might all be crap but even still they get the benefit of the dobut because it is unfair to assumptions.

Selling their methods brings in an extra form of income. There is nothing wrong by doing this, but I agree. Some guides need to be REALLY examined to see if they make even CLOSE to the amount stated.

 

Agreed.. just proof read over them to see if they are plausible in making/doing what they claim to. Otherwise just infract for misleading advertising and give a warning etc...

 

Its simple and this isn't even a problem. Usually suspicious threads are closed and a mod tells them to pm the guide to them. That is all that is needed.

Any guide which is requesting a form of payment should be reviewed by staff, or a guide reviewing team.

 

It could be a one-time thing, and they've reached their $50 limit so they're getting extra income by making a guide and posting it on Sythe.

I do agree that guides need to be looked over more closely, though. Possibly even re-verified after a certain amount of time. There are far too many guides that work for say a week then are ruined. And far too many people complain about guides after purchasing them, even the verified ones.

 

It's their second form of money making, I disagree.

 

I think it's fine, but only if the guides are actually legitimate, which probably isn't the case. It's hard to believe there's actually some fool proof method of making $50/h sitting around in a pdf somewhere.

 

These kinds of guides should be checked by an admin or mod, ESPECIALLY when a mod is saying this is probably not legit.

Lock the thread, or verify the guide.

 

Certainly understand the fact that people wish to bring in more income. If i discovered a way of doing this and felt that sharing my method wouldn't effect my income in anyway then yes i would probably sell my methods to INCREASE the income. Thats what its all about these days aint it.
