    Introduction Section Thread Layout

I think the Introductions / Farewells section should have an optional layout to use when introducing yourself, or saying good bye.

It's not really needed, but it helps liven up the community more.

    Anyone else agree?

Give us an example of a layout that you would use.

I could probably write-up a full layout if this is approved, but basic stuff like name, age, location, hobbies, favorite food, and etc. Just enough to liven-up the introductions and farewells.

Hmm it isn't necessary but it'd be nice for the community to know more about the new members. I dunno. I'm neutral on this.

I suppose it would help if people were genuinely interested in talking about themselves in such detail to a new forum.

I'm not saying people won't, but it's not very common. The people who do though usually end up as decent members here.

I think that it would be pretty nice if it were required though, since I'm pretty sure it would be a means to:

    • Allow members to get to know each other
    • Encourage members to read rules
    • Terminate the morons that get banned the first day

at least with clans though. It could very well work for a community too.

Sounds okay, I don't really care however. I guess I'll support.

Sounds like a good idea. That way you can just add in "Not answered" to questions they don't feel safe answering? ;)
