Jena six

I want to know all of your opinions on the jena six case...
Last fall in Jena, Louisiana, the day after two Black high school students sat beneath the "white tree" on their campus, nooses were hung from the tree. When the superintendent dismissed the nooses as a "prank," more Black students sat under the tree in protest. The District Attorney then came to the school accompanied by the town's police and demanded that the students end their protest, telling them, "I can be your best friend or your worst enemy... I can take away your lives with a stroke of my pen."

the protest was like a week ago...and alot of people wore black because of it and everything...i dont know what to think the whole problem is 6 black guys jumped 1 white guy and put him in a hospital..people say he was out the same day but he stayed in the hospital for like 2 weeks...people are protesting that the white kid only got 3 days iss (wich he didnt, he got sent to an alternative school and was expelled for 2 weeks) and that the oldest of the 6 boys was being charged with attempted murder...it has been dropped to just assault... and people are still upset about the case?? ur opinions please

Well first off, hanging nooses was stupid.

The 6 black kids jumped the white man for calling them a nigger or something along those lines.. Either way, provoked or not, they landed him in the hospital. I hate how everything like this has to come back to race >.>

Either way you look at, they're all criminals (the jena 6)

 

Konvict there not saying this because they jumped him. Its because they were being charged with attempted murder when the guy wasn't even seriously injured. He attended a school event the same day that it happened so he wasn't near seriously injured. Id understand assault but the fact that they were pushing for Attempted Murder is why everyone is so mad.


Reminds of a guy who got sent to prison for life for stealing a candy bar..... Oh and he was black.

 

Actually the "school event" was his ringing ceremony which he said "I've waited 11 years for this, and I'm not gonna let this stop me". He later left due to pain. How much pain do you have to be in to leave your freaking ringing ceremony?

But I think it is fucked up it is 2007 already all racist bitche's should fucking die 2007 and still this racist shit? Im from new orleans so I grew up around black people all my life and seeing shit like this hurt's me.

 

Thats a little harsh but, I suppose true to some extent. I mean no one should still be concerned with race anymore because of the equality laws. There is in no way any legitimate reason for the members of the Jena 6, were wrongful. I believe that all races should be even, and that's the way the real world works, I mean I have plenty of different races of friends.
