Dumped most of my BTC at 7400.

I had been gathering up good few via account sales + orders over the past few months
managed to get up to 5kish

dumped 2.5k @ 4800$ (out of necessity was going on holiday)
was gutted when I came back to see it had went up 2k while I was away

    dumped a further 1.5k yesterday @7400$
IMO its been rising 2 fast to not hit a spike soon

its currently at 7100 so looks good 1 day after but knowing my luck it will fly back up

any ideas/suggestions what I should invest in?

Always smart to take profits, but I think the btc rally is not over yet untill the hard fork mid november.

^ This. Btc will hit atleast 8K+. No idea if it will show a correction before the fork. Will definitely show correction right after it though.

I hope there is a correction before the fork, it will be a chance to buy in again.

    there will be

Coinbase added 100,000 new users in one day and most of it has to do with so many people getting a the forked coins. These next couple of days may be rough. I think most people are going to pull out of BTC right before/during the fork for fiat and try to buy back cheaper.

I still believe one will die and the other will rise. Sad to see that coins with the name "bit" in them seem to instantly get over valued.

Right now, I am waiting for a small dip on LTC then going all in. I think people will come around to the "BTC savings / LTC checking idea" because that is just the best use case IMO and I see this 2x fork as a real deciding factor in the name of BTC. If both chains live however... we may see "BTC silver" or at least more forks which is a joke IMO

You've got a number of options. What I would do is either reinvest at a price you are comfortable at, wait for a drop/drip or invest in altcoins. When looking at altcoins, find one (or as many as you like) you truly believe in with strong fundamentals.

At that date, it was a great time to dump. BTC fell to around $5,500 and he could have purchased more BTC.

Want to hear some funny shit??

I checked my localbitcoin wallet last night, and I sold 1.54 BTC at $700 each and I think I bought at like $650 (was just trying to make a quick flip)...

That was less than a year ago and it would be worth 15k but NBD... Not pissed off about it or anything

Also, when BTC was $180 in like 2012-2013 I told my parents to buy some. My dad almost bought 10k worth because he collects coins and currencies, and decided it was too difficult at the time (not too many exchanges at the time). I told him everyday "buy", and he wouldn't..

It's okay I bought around ~60 btc at 4$ each, to buy some "stuff", i was hurting for money at the time so sold my leftover coins to a friend for 3/4 of the market price :(

    overpriced just like BCH

Stil confused why dash is worth like $600... just take a look at this graph and it will show you the major problem i have with 90% of alts. Yeah, you can make money, but I am all about the long term realistic value, not east asian pumps..

well of course you do. i mean only about 1% of people are into crypto for the idea, the other 99% or for the gains. They could care less about what the monetary system looks like in 20 years as long as they have pumps and dumps to make them money. Which is sad. You know, Bitcoin was made to be a currency beyond centralization and government/wall street intervention, but now the crypto market is being labeled as the Stock Market 2.0.

I love crypto because I am against the Petro-Dollar and the Federal reserve, and have been since I was about 12-13, but now it seems like this market has almost as much manipulation are our current financial system.

(not saying you are one of these people I am simply trying to make a point)
