Char name change?

Has anyone got it through?
Might it go throught if you have a good reason?
For example: your name is very similar to some famous scammer's name and people come to insult you. You say that the gameplay is ruined for you and you would like a new charname.

But Jagex would maybe change it for me? Has it happened even once in the RS history?

 

I believe once I was banned for having an inappropriate name and in the message they sent back they mentioned something about working on such a feature.

 

Remember when it was? I sent them a letter, but haven't been replied yet.

They should add this feature, so I could also play with my chars named:
Like To Auto
I Use Auto

lol.

Btw how long does it take them to reply me? I am a member, so I should be answered faster than f2p people.

 

it is good idea but jagex wont let this hapen becose it will be more scaming and bugs

name changes will never happen... there will be way too many people doing it and it would completely screw over peoples friends lists

 

Eckman is right, and scammers can just change their RSN to something else and when he gets reported, he doesn't even exist!

I am actually not talking about the feature released to everyone.
My gameplay is ruined because my account was hacked and the hacker scammed with it. Got it back after 3 months. And now people come insult me and call me a scammer.

Do I have a chance?

THEY HAVEN'T REPLIED ME YET. Been a bit over 24 hours. I'll send another tomorrow if they won't reply, maybe they thought I'm not serious.

 

i think jagex will let u change ur name if u have an offesneive name like.

not possible now. but i did here about a feature about name changing also.

 

so do i. it was about a year ago though. they said they were working on a feature to change names. but intil then my guy would be banned. he aint lying.

will jagex release it? who knows. it would cause confusion. lol just imagine zezima changing his name. and some lvl 3 newb taking his name lmao.

 

you are stupid, you let yourself get scammed thats your fault for one. Secondly, to even think about the idea that something has happened to you that hasnt happened to anyone else in all of rs (not included a special glitch or w/e) means you have no grasp at how small you are compared to the rest of rs. Third, no think of the consequences of rs name changing.

They replied me. Said that name changes are not avaliable right now, but very soon they would release a feature like that.

 

i don't think this is going to happen but if you ask maybe they might let you change?
