Chaotic Kiteshield VS Farseer Kiteshield VS Eagle-eye Kiteshield

This is going to be somewhat like Farcast's sticky except for the three chaotic shields.

Note: All shields degrade more quickly when absorbing.

Chaotic Kiteshield:



Pros:

• Overall best shield
• highest stab, slash, crush and ranged defense bonuses
• 7% Melee absorb
• 14% Range absorb
• Gives Melee attack bonuses

Cons:

• Negative Mage defense bonus

This shield is best for situations where you will want to be soaking range and melee damage, such as the fight caves. This is the most popular shield.

Farseer Kiteshield



Pros:

• 7% Magic Soaking
• 14% Melee soaking
• +17 Magic attack bonus

Cons:

• Negative Range bonus

This shield is best for any situation where you are using magic, also any situation where you want to reduce melee damage while not ranging. Some Practical applications for this shield could be: Clan wars.

Eagle-eye Kiteshield



Pros:

• Positive range bonus
• 14% magic soaking
• 7% melee soaking

Cons:

• Negative Melee bonuses

This shield is best used when ranging. Some Practical applications could be: Armadyl, Reverents.

farseer>chaotic>eagle eye
farseer is like a cheaper arcane with some soaking(good)
i'd rather use a dfs than a chaotic unless i had 105+ dung
eagle eye seems pretty useless, bad defence, only +4 range bonus

@Dark, i personal have seen the most CKS and have a large number of friends who use them. that might not be true, just from personal experience that is what ive found.

 

Farseer is the best by far, looks coolest imo too =)

Chaotic is like an elysian Spirit.. The others are better for maxing I guess.

 

Kite is for Mellee
Farseer Kite is for Magic
Eagle is for range.

 

the eagle eye can be darn useful for nex and corping

The farseer is useful for fighting powerful melee opponents.

The chaotic kite is damn useful for the fight caves due to its life saving range soak.
