In a conundrum, Need advice.

Heres the full story.

Earlier this month (11/11/13) i was keylogged during a trade in which this person (gp4fun) was selling me 100mil OSRS GP through amazon.co.uk gift-cards totaling $240.

He was going first so i thought nothing of it. Well it turns out, like i said, he keylogged me.

He was able to take all the GP that he sold me right out of my account and still had the gift cards i purchased for him.

I quickly contacted amazon through live chat and they were able to disable the gift cards and issue me a refund. So.... story ends there right? WRONG!

I received an e-mail 2 days later that the person who informed me that i was getting a refund was mistaken and that gift cards that were redeemed cannot be given back in refund but can only be reimbursed through amazon gift cards.... So... here i am, from the US with a $240 amazon.co.uk credit on my amazon account..

What the hell do i do?!?!?!? I was going to buy something but the shipping and handling is RIDICULOUS!

Any suggestions? Should i file a dispute with my credit card? Will someone buy this stupid thing? IDK what to do.

i'd just buy something, or try and sell the account at a knock-down price.

 

the only thing i was interested in buying was an elgato HD capture device, if i purchased it through amazon.co.uk it'd cost me an additional $10 for a total of $250.

i can purchase it on ebay for $120! it's bananas!

You can try selling your Amazon balance here^ However, many trusted buyers will ask you to wait until they purchase something and wait till that item is delivered until they pay you. Also, you're looking at 60-80% of the value of the card...

 

i thought of that heads but its a co.uk card... everyone i contacted are from the US and not willing to buy it

 

Still, creating a thread in that section wouldn't hurt
