It is a extremely popular game right now, I still play it to this day and there are still shit tons of people that play it.

This will give players a spot to offer up pokemon they have for trade and things like that, could also bring in a whole bunch of new users.

opinions? We could even set up Sythe battle tournaments and stuff =D​

UPDATE

For those of you that never played, and checked out the video, here are a few things they don't show in the video that makes this game amazing.

1. Trading system with any other player in game, no limits. I had a guy offer me a level 50 for my level 10 Charmander just because he wants that Pokemon lol
2. Friends list, add people to explore with them. You can also do double battles against other plays online. Just click on any other person you see and request to battle them anywhere.
3. Unique gift system, allows you to get specials like bonus exp or cosmetics for you character.
4. Sell ANYTHING in your bag to other players, this includes TM's, Pokeballs, whatever it may be.
5. You can start clans with your friends, and have your clan tag above your characters next to your name for everyone to see

This game is absolutely amazing, and if you don't want to deal with others just ignore them and play the regular campaign, its all still there, or do it with a friend.


How to play the game

Go to the site to get the client, you are going to get a zip folder with a bunch of files...
Make a new folder on your desktop (Name it whatever you want) and extract everything from the download into that folder.

Now go here: http://coolrom.com/roms/gba/14488/Pokemon_FireRed.php
And download the rom.

Cut/Paste that ROM in the folder named ROM that was included in your downloads that you just extracted.

Start the PokeMMO client. Done

 

Hell yes, I'm 23 and I still buy the new games when they come out, I would love to see a pokemmo section, from what I see there are allot of sythe users who are into Pokemon and this would be a great idea, I neve heard of pokemmo until dean brought it up but I'm definitely getting into it, I tried Pokemon crater but it kind of sucks lol. It would be cool to have a section to do trades and you could stake RSGP in battles or something, great idea.


If we have a realm of the mad god section then this one shouldn't be a problem.

 

Yeah, i'd support a pokemon section. A sub section or an individual topic could be added and discussed for PokeMMO. Whoever brings up the argument that "pokemon is for young kids" is an idiot.

I support this as well, it seems that a lot of people are wanting the activity on sythe to pick up and there are still a lot of pokemon fans out there, So, this may bring traffic from another MMO here. Which would then boost up activity.

 

Yes it is, I put a link in the OP so people who are not aware of the game yet can get aware. It would open so many more opportunities, players being able to offer Pokemon leveling services and everything.

I don't think a specific PokeMMO section would work, rather, as others have suggested a whole section dedicated to Pokemon in general. From this various sub-sections can branch out, discussion etc. And also PokeMMO stuff.

The game is actually extremely popular if you check it out, the server playbase is HIGH

So if players are searching for forums to do trading on or offering pokeleveling services, they could find us!
Literally, the first town you start in was packed, atleast 20 people standing in Professor oaks lab when I was last in there

Yeah most people have never heard of it but I am always looking for a nice Pokemon rpg to play and im sure im not the only one, I'm sure if we had a Pokemon section that it would be a big hit.

 

20 players that JUST made their accounts standing in a small building is pretty active Lol.

15 posts per day is less than a post an hour, Lol.

To many people here may not of heard of it, but look at our member base that our Poke Fans. Once they see it, they will probably play it. I've already had a few PM me asking for the links to the game right after I posted the topic lol.

Anyways, a sub section would be better than anything, just until it got a little more popular on Sythe.

 

From the look of how packed the towns were in the video it seems pretty big.

I've actually played this and it's entertaining. It uses the roms from the DS games, and integrates a MMO feature into it. It's fun.

 

So make it happen for us! Like I said it doesn't have to have a section of its own, even though there would be Poke trades, item trades and leveling. That might get a bit cluttered in only one little sub forum, but its a start until more people start using it.

We will need a sticky with information on the game and how to use it for players that haven't, I can put one together for you if you like.

 

A subsection in the games section would be fitting. Nothing more and the section would be poke on in general, IMO.

 

I agree with making a Section for this, i started it when i saw this and i can tell you, its AMAZING, it has allot of stuff to do and allot of people to talk to, battle with, trade with!, definitive support from me Dean, good suggestion!

 

Two things.


1) Forum changes must be approved by sythe.
2) Before I even bother presenting this to him, I want to ensure there's a big enough ACTIVE playerbase in the game. You said there's people asking you about it, my question is, how many will actually play it and CONTINUE to play it.

I'd like to see this held off for now.

 

The active Player-base is huge, tremendous amount of people talking and battling with friends and such, it has a big playerbase, in my opinion.
