Viable ALTs

We see a lot of alts that go nowhere but there is some innovations out there making viable alts. What qualities do you think an alt would need to compete with the big coins?

 

Well to start, we should know what we consider big coins! What do you propose?

 

BTC/LTC. The staples of the community.

 

I mean first coin that gets accepted more for real life services will be better I guess.

 

Yeah, of course but the question is how do you take the BTC model and adapt it to something the average consumer (with limited intelligence) can feel safe using? How do you take the good things about government issued fiat currency and combine them with the benefits of the decentralized crypto market to make something beneficial and stable in the long term?
