An article taken from a Sciencenews.org~

A single 2-hour exposure to the microwaves emitted by some cell phones kills brain cells in rats, a group of Swedish researchers claims. If confirmed, the results would be the first to directly link cell-phone radiation to brain damage in any animal.

No such evidence exists for people. But with cell-phone use skyrocketing, some scientists recommend precautionary measures—for example, avoiding excessive gabbing on the phones.

Alrighty boys and girls, many different opinions will be given on this thread, so no flaming.

I'm split on this discussion.

On one hand, science has been proven through rats.

ON THE OTHER HAND, rats interpret microwaves differently then the human brain does.

It's split, there's no proof of either side, so don't assume your correct. Simply Discuss.

I agree that the radiation is not helpfull to your body, but a human is much larger than a rat and much more complex, I don't realy see it feasable that a human could undergo serious dammage do to a cell phone, it just doesn't seem like it would be enough, now that cell phones are getting smaller and smaller.

Ha, although you know what they say, The smaller the package, the bigger the prize ;]

Haha, yes that is true.
How much exposure for how long did it take the rat to develop brain dammage, do you know?

Hmm, interested, but it's true rats have smaller brains than a human, so unless its a percentage of the brain thats effected, i don't see much of a threat to humans, since brain cells can form.
