[CDT] Weekly Event #31; LASERSHARKS.io [Ends on Sep 30th, 9PM EST]

Is filling an empty server with, what looks like, bots even allowed to be counted as a valid score / participant? :') Pretty sure if someone else pulled something like that off he would get dq'ed.

How am I a dick for pointing out a fact, which you confirmed in your post. You using bots to gain an unfair advantage over your competiton. Thanks for confirming my point.

 

I just tried to do what BlackBlasses did, using a lot of alts in the same game. It seems like ALL the other 'players' are bots and every actual player that enters the game removes one of the bots. The proof can be seen in the video below:



Note how when I join with my 10 accounts all the other players, except for BlackBlasses, get kicked out of the game. When I then exit with my alt accounts the 'players' (bots) come back.
Theoretically, someone could set up 10 of those accounts and then basically do a '6 hours afk' like in RS but in this Lasersharks.io game. Taking advantage of the game being dead and the bots leaving the game when you set alts up instead.

Feel free to correct me when I am wrong in my hypothesis. If your question is "what about the bots that leave", I assume those are just to make it seem like the game is alive. Would be hard to get a dead game of the ground otherwise.

 

It would fit perfectly well in my hypothesis actually. The strategy would work as followed:

1. Set up 1 'main account', with your Sythe username
2. Set up 9 alt accounts, all with the same username
3. Afk, kill your own alt accounts here and there if you please for more points
4. If an actual player joins you will see it pretty rapidly. The alt accounts all have relative low points so another player should be within the top 10 in no time.
5. Be active until the actual player leaves again and repeat.

I am going to sleep now. Just wanted to quickly try the above out as I had a hunch. Goodnight.

 

I dont mean 'afk' in a literal way that you can go outside away from your keyboard. I ment it in a way that you dont have to play the game at all. You could minimize the screen to only show the top 10 scores and when you see something moving in there you play the game for a bit. This way you barely have to play the game and can play another game, make homework or work while the Lasersharks game is in the background running.

Also, I got like 19.000 points per hour when playing normally. The score you posted above is somehow only like 12.000 points per hour, which is rather curious in combination with the recording of your alts in the game I posted earlier.
