    REINTRODUCING THE PR TEAM

    Dear friends,

    Through data analysis, we've noticed a steady decline in the rate of unique accounts created within the last five years. While it's true that some activity has shifted to other platforms [predominantly Discord, Guilded, and Facebook], this is still a problem that needs to be addressed accordingly.

    We need to develop and implement an effective marketing strategy that focuses on current trends within the gaming industry in order to attract new users to our forums.
    As some of you remember, this was a primary goal of the PR team. Unfortunately, the old team failed in their mission and were disbanded on April 24, 2019 (See: Disbandment of Public Relations Team).

    Luckily, there seems to be no shortage of talented individuals on Sythe. After much deliberation, we've decided to give the PR team another chance to bring value to our forums.

    The team will be comprised of four to five members with an additional leader role.
    The initial PR members will be chosen by the Staff and CDT teams, and will report directly to the owner of Sythe. However, they will work closely with CDT, SytheLib, and Staff members.


    Those who would like to apply, should PM an application to @MAGZ or @Devil using the template below.

    How do I know if I'm qualified?

    What we are looking for is simple. We want:
    • People that are trustworthy and honest, but can also devote time to the team.
    • People that are active members of the community and are willing to help us in our mission.
    • We need to be able to trust you with handling Sythe's social media accounts on various platforms.
    • Good communication skills are a necessary asset.
    • Experience with social media/advertising is a plus.
    • We are looking for active streamers and GFX suppliers.

    How do I apply?

    Please provide detailed answers for each question.
    Remember, your participation and conduct around the forum will also be considered.
    It is recommended that you include some proof of your community involvement.
    Applicants are strongly encouraged to participate in the Sythe community before applying.

    I mean, it makes sense that there has been a decline in unique accounts recently because Sythe is highly correlated with RS. Looking at the population averages of RS, it has been on the decline. Unless Sythe wants to switch its gears into a new venture, I do not see an increase in new accounts on Sythe.

    Through your data analysis, did you notice any spikes in new players with COVID? With more people at home because of the virus, Sythe should have seen a spike in new unique accounts. If not, Sythe needs to overhaul its whole business structure.

    What is actually the point of this? Nothing significant has changed from when the previous iteration of the PR team disbanded, till now (unless @Sythe has changed his stance on providing $ to assist the PR team). The same strategies and tactics used, have proven redundant time and time again (posting on Reddit/Twitter/Instagram/other forums/giveaways/referral comps/etc) - no fault of the previous PR team, more so simply due to the nature of this forum, and the inherit difficulty in attracting and retaining new users.

    Richard has said time and time again, he won't pay for advertising on google, other platforms, etc, as he believes the traffic generated from said advertisements does not justify the cost. If there's no allocated budget by Richard, then there's literally no point in re-establishing the PR team. Free methods are not going to work, or more specifically, not be worth the time invested vs gained results.

    Just let the PR team stay dead.

    This is the most pointless 'fluff' marketing response ever. If you understand my points and concerns, then address them. How will different members make the PR team viable? What qualitative and quantitative measures are going to bet taken to ensure the PR team is successful? What metrics are you going to use to determine what success even is? New members won't change the fact that nearly all entire free methods are redundant and obsolete.

    Do you have some sort of strategic plan that ensures the PR team will be useful and successful this time round, that is acting as the backbone/reason as to why the PR team is being brought back from the ashes? Provide some specifics, alongside tangible outcomes, of what you envision the PR team to do, and how.

    Ok so you still haven't answered or addressed anything. Appears to be the blind leading the blind, for the sake of bringing back a redundant team, that accomplished nothing. That's what I can only take away from what you've said so far, and how you've responded to my questions/concerns. There's 1000000x more required for the PR team to be successful, than just wanderlust-hope in that new members can change irrefutable facts.
