Important Lessons I've Learned the Past 2 Months

I came back to play RS for two months, and here's what I've learned and noticed:

1. Runescape is actually still a pretty good game if you can make it to be. I joined a clan called KoA for people who are over 18, and the community was great.

2. However, most of the people who play runescape nowadays are kids under 13 who think that this game is a medium for them to be as immature as they want.

3. It seems that getting rich, showing off stats, and PKing are the current trends in RS. Very few people still play for the spirit and enjoyment of the game (such as actually doing quests and skills for fun). In addition, people will do anything they can to conform to the current fashion, such as botting.

4. I try to be nice and show good sportsmanship when PKing, but it seems like 99% of the PKers I fight and in general fall into #2 and #3.

4. 95% of the people on RSBot are scammers, yet people still think they can do successful trades there. It's a botting site, FFS.

5. When I tried to sell my account on sythe, 90% of the people who gave me offers were scammers. 100% of the scammers talked like kids and cared about who "won or not." I can conclude that almost every kid in sythe is looking to scam simply because they do not have the paypal money or status to actually buy an account.

That's all, now hate/rate/masturbate.

 

1. Who said it was a bad Game? The kids who lost their armor or the kids who cried over the GFX update.

3. Um, That's always been the Runescape trend. Way to contradict yourself, "Level skills for fun" "Show off stats". I'm sure if your skilling your eventually gonna brag about your 99s.

4. Its PvP, Fighting isnt suppose to be fair. QQ Moar. - And yeah, of course they would fall into #3 because they're obviously PvPing.. -.-

(Second 4?). Set a Minimum price, If they don't offer it. Report them. Be smart. don't go first.

I agree really, it's made me think about it. botting is huge now, and now there's no perm bans for it, it's even bigger.

 

Botting is the economy in runescape so therefore they can never remove it unless they want a huge crash in everything.

Runes go up in price, pure essence go up in price, logs go up in price, flax and bow string go up in price ores go up in price armour sets go up in price sharks go up in price herbs go up in price

Umm.... botting ruined the economy in the first place. It causes major inflation. Those prices for things like runes and such wouldn't go up if botting was discontinued, the upper end items and rare prices would inflate at a lower rate.
