Yeah it's great that Jagex is supporting this by placing the vote on the Runescape front page, and upon login in game.

 

I could have been the 250,000th vote (1of16)

If you're feeling generous you can make a couple new accounts and essentially buy votes for $1.95 each. I just invested 10 bucks in hopes that we get where I would like it to be (500k).

probably wont hit 500k+ votes still 250k votes i guess is decent, but at an EXTRA 5$ a month idk if id want to play it still :/

Looks like we are on track for 500k. After the next I am sure we'll get it. In fact voting hit a fast steak today. At around 1 PM I tested a few times and it was going between 70 - 90 votes per minute, while that isn't going to remain constant it is more than enough to push us over the top if voting did that during the peak times daily.

 

I think 500k is reasonable now that they've offered free access to the old school servers if you get membs/vote. Lots of people who wouldn't normally being paying for membership are going to be subscribing purely to try out the 2007 server

 

I doubt we'll even reach 500k votes - which is a shame. I'm not gonna pay for it. Anyway, how exactly would it work? Say if we reach 500k, do we still need to be member to play on the servers? And does that mean that there's not F2P?

 

We stand a chance and apparently I am not sure if this is true but people are saying that you can vote more than once if you change the language that you have Runescape set to . I dunno try it out and report back here if possible .

At 500k votes it cost no additional membership fees to play, so there would be no f2p aspect.

 

Wait so does this mean that you would have to buy Rune Eoc membership to pay or it would just be free completely for rs 2007? If so where would they get their money from?

 

Yes I did and I find it vague. So you have to be member regardless of how many votes we get? So the servers won't be free? And so anyone on the '07 servers will be P2P?

 

Mod MMG: The cards have a monetary amount of $10 or $20 so any combination of them will allow you to gain access to both versions of the game. A vote today gets you 1 month of current membership and a free month of Old School service, hopefully if we get more than 500K votes (because we also don't want to do the extra billing engine work!) there will be no additional charge.
