Which pokemon game should I get on my gameboy? I recentely found my game boy laying around from 10 years ago, and it's actually quite fun. Especially with runescape having every skill afkable.

If any one used to or still plays, which games should I get?

I already got Emerald, and Leaf Green.

Go with the classics, blue or red (I'm playing blue right now on my computer) :)

This makes me wonder if I still have mine laying around in my house, I use to play Fire Red. Man I use to have so much fun playing it back then, So yea as I said Fire Red would be my pick. You could no doubt pick it up cheap on here or Ebay.

You should sell your game boy (not worth much but owell) and use an emulator online instead. Its free, and all the games are available for download.

Pokemon Crystal was awesome with Rakiou Suicune and Entai.

I 100% agree with the originals. Nothing really beats blue, red, and yellow. I guess I kinda say that because it's the only ones I 100% know.

Heck no, unless you're someone who seriously doesn't care. Imo, there's just a better feel to having the physical copies of games.

If you feel like emulating though, just keep your stuff around anyways, unless you get to a point where you really feel no need/want for it.

You can't play Crystal on the original Gameboy as it's a GBC exclusive, but you can still play Gold/Silver on one. =p

I would say Red/Blue if you want the 'original' nostalgia, but Gold/Silver if you really want an early expansive game. Just get both sets if you really must, lol.

Go for the originals mate. Yellow was cool just because you get Pikachu to follow you around everywhere, but my favourites are Red & Blue because you can do the Missing no# glitch thing.

I find the new pokemon games just as entertaining :) since you already have emerald and leaf green, the only pokemon games left on gameboy is either mystery dungeon or the original for you to try, they are both very good.

Get the Yellow Version. That was my favourite as a kid. :D

Blue was fun because of those cheats that you can use around that one gym leader that's in the ocean. Good times lol.

Those gameboy cartridges have batteries inside them with 15 years of life. They keep your games saved, and once 15 years have passed, the batteries will start dying and your games will no longer stay saved. I don't know how old these pokeman games are, but I'd stick to something as new as possible to prevent any horrors of saved games disappearing.

I'd get Pokemon Blue/Red/Yellow (I personally prefer Blue to Red) and play through them, the first generation was the best imo.

Crystal never gets old! I got it along with a GBC for my 8th birthday, and I've had it ever since. I still play it every now and then, though I've beaten it like 6 times now, so at this point all I do is work on maxing out my team and waste time at the game corner :p
