It's frowned upon and the person who's doing it usually is asked to stop and report the post or thread instead. If they continue however, yes it would be spam/worthy of an infraction.

 

It isn't not allowed ^_^ but if they're commenting "need pictures" or whatever I don't mind, as long as they're not reporting the thread for lock as well - 'cause that's just post-count farming.

 

i wish i can lock threads but all i can do is report
