What is a bond?

sorry I took a break from RS for quite a while and I am back to playing the game, and have seen the term bond used multiple times.

Just curious as to what this infers to

A bond is an item that can be used to purchase 14 days of membership. They can be bought in the Grand Exchange, they can be traded, and you can buy them off of their site for IRL money. Hope I helped you out.

When you use that bond, you get 14 days RS membership. It's worth about 8M.
