Anyone purchase from amazon.co.uk?

Wondering if anyone from the US orders from amazon.co.uk?

I was scammed earlier this year and amazon.co.uk issued a refund in gift cards so i have a 240Euro balance on my amazon account.

I was going to buy some video games but i remembered that theirs a region difference and that xbox 360 games from UK might not work on my xbox.

So i'm wondering two things. would purchasing UK video games work on my xbox 360?

And, has anyone had any experience with purchasing things off amazon.co.uk and if so, what did you buy?

 

I'm from the UK and I have never had any issues with Amazon. If you have been scammed in one way or another, I also advise leaving the seller negative feedback to help others out, if you haven't done so already.

I buy games from Amazon occasionally and see no reason why buying it from the UK would mean it wouldn't work on your Xbox. As long as it's brand new then it 100% should work. If it's second hand and damaged is the only reason I could think that a game may not work.

I've bought things of amazon before, but .uk, but .com. I've never had any issues.

 

The region code is different so the game may not work on my US xbox.

My main concern is purchasing things from the US from the UK site.

I've bought plenty of things off amazon, just never from co.uk >_<

Have you ever purchased from .com and had it sent to the UK?

 

I've bought things from Amazon US when I'm in the UK. Although it was a virtual item.

Why don't you email the sellers there and ask? If they're legitimate they'll tell you the truth.

 

If they are different region codes, they wont work, so some games will be fine and some wont - you'll just have to check specific items. I'd just sell your card for USD or maybe contact Amazon and ask if they can give you a slightly lesser value of card in USD. I've purchased from .com and had it delivered to the UK, however, it has to be a large vendor for the shipping costs to be worth it.

 

Most modern games now will play in any region. Before you purchase a game just do a quick google search however to confirm that it will work for you.

 

They will probably not work. You should check for something in your region

 

I've had past experiences with ordering games from the US.
Sadly they didn't work on my ps3.
also shipping is a bitch, you're better off buying a laptop or something.

 

Being from the UK I've used Amazon.co.uk for various things (games included) with no trouble at all. I'm sure if you message the supplier asking about compatability you'll be able to get the answer your looking for.
