iPhone won't charge?

Just thought i'd share this, obvious and simple but it's not something you assume..

So. My iPhone 5S recently stopped charging, and I just assumed it was iPhones in general because my last iphone (Ip5) also stopped charging after around 2 years of use..

Anyway. I just stuck a toothpick in the charger slot to my phone, and cleared out compact dirt/dust and all of a sudden the phone charges perfectly. I also thought i'd try it with my old iPhone, which I haven't sold sheerly because it wouldn't charge.. and that also worked..

So if anyone has charger problems, where you have to bend the charger for it to work or if it doesn't work at all, make sure it's clean ;D

 

Might try this on one of my older phones, even after a attempt of a new battery it doesn't charge at all, where as the previous battery would charge one way or another. Will update if anything happens.

Absolute life saver. My older brother keeps complaining I killed the phone so he wants to factory reset it.... /: it wouldn't charge on any wire. ty babe.

 

No problem. Knew it would come in handy.. I've just flogged my old iphone for £100 to a friend. It's £100 that I wouldn't have had before.
