I see a dozen threads on jagex's current policy on bots, half of em are locked, and none of em have a real answer.

Are perm bans back? Did they ever leave? Has the policy changed at all since the 4th or are they just getting better at catching hunter bots?

If you want to bump this thread, great, but don't post here saying your friend's brother's girlfriend's dog got perm/temp banned so you know they're back/still here. That just adds to the confusion.


If a mod stumbles on this, can you please just make a sticky about what we know- it would clear a lot up and reduce the number of threads on the issue.

There has been talk of perms coming back for noob accounts, but temps are for mains or something like that. Not much information is known on this as I think it's just came up within the past week or so.

 

No one person botted on rsc with previous offences and got a perm ban...

 

How do you know they're fake? I haven't seen any pics of temp bans since the fourth.


Edit: If they definitely are fake a sticky just saying that would still be helpful- theirs a lot of confusion right now and some of us would like to know whats actually going on.

 

They are completely real. I just checked an accont i got a 14 day temp on and remember how it used to say that if another offence was commited I would get a 21 day temp, well thats been removed.

No, but if a few reputable people within a community post pictures of being perm banned I think there's a reason to listen.


I also think it's funny how everyone who calls someone 'kid' is under 18- fucking ironic.

once someone confirms this i will believe, i agree there should be a sticky but it should say that it isnt confirmed. pure propaganda in my opinion, probably other botters getting ass hurt because all of the botting items are crash (nature, raw sharks, runeite ore etc.)

I complete agree- I don't know for a fact whats going on with bans and considering the price of red chins and nats I can see what people would have to gain from spreading the rumor.

It'd just be nice to have one sticky that expains whats known and what isn't rather than tons of threads with conflicting information.

yes perm bans have been gone for the past few months for macroing and you only receive a 14 day ban on the first offence, then 21, then perm.

now there is solid proof of people being perm banned for macroing after 1 offence.
