How often/what examples are there of big accounts scam quitting?

    How often/what examples are there of big accounts scam quitting?
    must be some pretty dirty scam quits out there with some of the higher up shops inevitably. do we have any examples you know of? I want to ease my mind that it doesn't happen often, but I'm also morbidly curious

    i'd imagine if a big name scam-quit they could recover potentially hundreds of thousands of scammed $ from accounts they've created or done services on. bonus points if you can link their account before they were banned

    How often/what examples are there of big accounts scam quitting?
    I've moved this to the RuneScape general section as this seemed best suited here.

    There's been a couple people off the top of my head that have been higher-tiered and ended up scamming:
    Azie
    RuneMetrix
    Baod

    While it can happen the more higher trusted individuals are the less likely (in my opinion) you are to be scammed. Just keep in mind that any account can be recovered technically by the original owner no matter the circumstances.

    Do your homework on individuals feedback/vouches in full to understand who you are buying from. Look at the quality of the vouches as well (for example if someone sold 100M 100 times they technically have 100 vouches, however that's not really that trustworthy for a couple of reasons - 1) they likely could've went first so there's no trust factor with them & 2) the amount is so low that the chances are likely higher for a scam if they are trusted with a higher amount).

    How often/what examples are there of big accounts scam quitting?
    I always saw buying accounts as kinda pointless at some point the original owner will just recover it. Even if the shop is not the original owner the biggest scams seem to be account related so I just avoid that unless I don't plan on using the account long. For example if I'm buying a account I 100% plan on it getting recovered. That being said I will use it for Swapping or Botting so I don't care about losing the account since it will probably be banned before they recover it back again anyway. If you plan on buying a account for long term or as a main just be prepared for it to be recovered at some point. It might even be worth having a bank mule account to store any valuable wealth instead of leaving it on a account that could be recovered.

    Maybe it's just me, but I am never surprised that someone who has been here 2 years and just puked all over the forum with 100k posts ended up scamming people lol
