    the earths fate

what will eventually happen too the earth, will we keep evolving and eventually die due to global warming, out or will we keep on living untill the sun dies out and all life is destroyed.

    discuss

also what happens if we die out, is that it, no more life what so ever and we have too start all over again through the billions of years of evoloution.

    the earths fate

An asteroid is headed towards us.

Should be about 2036 before we see it.

If science doesn't save the world, nothing will.

    the earths fate

If the accusations of an asteroid and/or some kind of natural occurrence doesn't happen, then it will be well into the 3 Billion year future that the entire universal world as we all know and can see from eye view will be destroyed as we slowly drift into deep space towards a neighboring galaxy, the Andromeda Galaxy.

In that time, both galaxies will be forged together by force and will created a new interstellar universe in need of inhabitable life ..

Most likely, elements of the two galaxies mixed will combine to form a newer, more complex form of life to inhabit the earth (As if the Earth will still exist ..)

There is proof and it is fact. If we do not blow ourselves up by that time, our future selves will perish in the most likely fiery pain that we all deserve .. [:

    Look on Youtube [: .. It's all there ..

very interesting. although by 3 billion years time im sure our future generations would have fucked everything up by then.

Google 2036, and asteroid. It's probably not going to meet the series of collisions that'll pull it close enough to hit us, but I think that's how we're going down.

Before any certain, but timely events such as the moon crashing into Earth, or the Sun dying.

Surely this " asteroid " isn't big enough to bring down the entire planet, is it? If so, say goodbye ! [:

    -----------

Seeing as there are many saying that this asteroid will hit Earth and there are many saying that this asteroid will not hit Earth, I want proof. Anyone have a link as to where I can see for my self where these accusations of Earth's peril speeding towards us is said? I would LOVE to see it ..

    Thats the one.

I believe none of us will see the end in our lifetime, so we don't need to flood our mind with worries and wonder and just live our life how we wish. Wondering and trying to conserve is a waste of life in my opinion. If we look at us compared to the universe, or even the world, we are a speck. The thought that WE will end life if ignorant and pompous.

Global warming for example. Yes, we are contributing, and yes, it is happening. But thinking that driving hybrid cars and cutting waste down on factory's and such NOW will halt global warming, you need help. Whatever damage that will be done, has been done.

Who cares, life on earth will end in a nuclear war or something man-made. Nothing having to do with an asteroid or global warming. And after we are gone, the earth will repair itself (it can do that you know!) and it will prepare for another race of life forms, whether it be survivors of the disaster or extra terrestrial life.

    BAM!

Great testimony. I do not agree, however. If we, mankind, the stupidest of all living organisms to ever try to succeed in a such thing as a government, were to even THINK about destroying this Earth at this very moment, I do so believe we would be able to.

So you're saying that this generation of mankind could not pull of a feat of destroying the human race .. but future generations with possibly the same brain power would be able to? Is your knowledge of what is happening in science labs all over the globe as large enough for you to make such an accusation that we will not be able to invent some en genius device that allows us to further our life span?

I do believe that in the next 25 years or so, the government will give in to the great demands of releasing segments of the hidden treasures they have. Surely you don't think that we won't be able to make ourselves live longer within such an amount of time?

Why shouldn't we care? Not caring about this certain subject is just as equivalent as saying that you do NOT care about your grand children maybe yet to come .. or your siblings grand children. This is the pompous act that you have shamed us by posting on these forums ..

I for one believe that if we have the power to end ourselves with foolish wars and arguments at this VERY moment, then we will most definitely have the power to create something that will reverse that horrible end within the next 20-40 years or so. The end just may be within our lifetimes .. You NEVER know ..

    [:

I am not talking about the human race, I am talking about life, and the earth, as a whole.

Well, Life and Earth as a whole is generally controlled by Human Life at this moment .. So wouldn't the entire theory be based on what Humans do ?

But what would you consider "life"? Would it be the human races' life?
Much more to debate about here, and it doesn't matter know if that astroid hits us...We are screwed.

    Indeed.

It's not a threat at the moment though. But ultimately, that's a likely ending to our story.

Although, I once read something about the solar system being so unstable that at some point it'll randomly eject planets from orbit. Could never understand the theory behind it though.

That might also happen - Earth goes flying off into space.

I;m not sure if this is correct but I was told by my science teacher the Earth will eventually stop expanding, and Begin to compress, It will compress till nobody can physically exist on it anymore then it will begin to expand again. This process takes millions maybe billions of years. As for global warming wouldn;t have a clue =]

sunsta, the Earth doesn't actually expand. Perhaps it does so a little, due to heating by the sun, etc., but the amount to which this occurs would be negligible.
