Why I should be a User Educator

I believe I would make a good edition to the User Education team because I am very active on Sythe.Org and love helping users in any way I can. You can see evidence of this on my FREE questing thread found here. I wish to share my knowledge of both computing, gaming and real-life with others here on this forum to ultimately increase the atmosphere here on Sythe. My English is pretty good, and I try to make my typing as clear as possible for all readers.
I am becoming increasingly active in User Education, both in writing my own guides and giving helpful constructive criticism to others.

I have also written other guides under the 'Free Guides' section of the RuneScape Black Market, now I know that they are of no real relevance to the User Education forum, but it shows what I am capable of producing. (The F2P Strength Pure Guide was written a while ago, so some of the language is some what immature, forgive me)

Your first guide is a bit too short IMO. You should try writing longer guides, and guides that most people will find useful. Don't rush your guides like some people have, give a careful thought about it before posting it. Make sure to re-check it many times to search for grammatical errors. I myself often make them when I post without thinking too much. You should also try and help out people in the Help section. That will probably improve your chances.

But then again, who am I to give you advice? I'm not a UE. But anyway, good luck. From what I've seen, you seem like a cool and mature guy.

 

It's fine, I'm all for constructive criticism. I see what you mean by saying my first guide was too short, I couldn't think about anything else to write, the only other thing I really could of included would be how to download and extract it, but most people would already know this anyway and it's pretty self-explanatory.
I was thinking about creating a guide about how to crop images accurately using GIMP, but I thought it would seem like a pretty bitchy thing to do seeing as how Rhodsey also created a cropping guide.

Thanks guys, perhaps it needs improvment or maybe I should rule it out entirely. It was never going to be incredibly detailed, but the level of detail I provided was has proven to be insufficient. I'll be working on new guides and improving current ones shortly.

 

The layout you have used in your application is good, which will give you a good first impression on the UE's. However, I would suggest you put your "I will not plagiarize" required sentence at the bottom, as it is not as important as the rest and the sentence after it should really be in the paragraph, not where it is.

Just a word of advice also, you should write like 6 or 7 guides and then pick the best 5 to put into your application. Then, guides like your first one that isn't that great could be excluded which would help your impression.

 

Thanks for the advice, I most certainly will write as many guides as I can think of. I've had a lot on my hands recently, so I haven't been able to create any new, more detailed guides. But I plan on writing one or two over the weekend. I'll also move the "I will not plagiarize" statement to the bottom.
