New With Paypal

I was wondering if it is dangerous to give out my PP address to someone who is not trusted. I know that people chargeback, but I heard that people could claim fraud and take all your money. And I mean literally all the money you have stocked up in your pp account. What am I missing here, or am I right? Thanks.

 

I've never heard of this, or experienced it.
Accounts can get locked when a lot of chargebacks occur, but if you call up paypal and supply the data they want to see it's usually unlocked within the hour.

If you have sources, please do share as this seems like a massive exaggeration from somebody.

 

Not really. Without having your password or access to your PayPal's email, no way that person could go through it. If it happens to break through, your account will be flagged as unauthorized IP login and it'll be locked and not be able to send money.

That would mean someone could sell 1m 07 to us, which would reveal our pp address to them, then steal all our pp funds? No way :L

 

Impossible with just the PP address. Now if your password is password, then they can use the PP address and guess your password to log in and rob you, but the odds of that happening are the same odds anything else you have getting hacked.
