    Jagex buying traffic?

If you don't get the point of this then you don't realize what the website is. :s

http://www.easyhits4u.com/ is a traffic exchange site. Everytime you view someone's site, they will send someone to view your site. You can also buy traffic. Jagex bought traffic from them. That's why runescape.com shows up when you view other people's sites.

    Jagex buying traffic?

Yeah, I understood from the first post. I've used these sites before.

Kind of odd that Jagex is buying traffic... I guess it would work for people that have never heard of the game though.

It's funny because 90% of the people on easyhits4u.com aren't really people; they are bots. You don't actually gain any users from that site.

    Jagex buying traffic?

What would the point of buying traffic be? We don't see the amount of people that have hit the site, just the amount of people online. Maybe it's to get more companies to purchase advertising slots on there?

    Jagex buying traffic?

So you're saying that Jagex is trying to take your account?

OT: Is this an example of google buying traffic?

I type in the address bar "gogle.com" (misspelled)
I am directed to the google.com website.

Does that mean that google has bought traffic from the website, gogle.com

You clearly don't understand what easyhits4u.com is.

Your example isn't on topic either.

    Jagex buying traffic?

So are you saying Jagex has purchased something which pays randoms on the internet to visit the site? They would all be bots and there is no way anyone using a service like that would consider going back to RS.....

    Jagex buying traffic?

Well someone had purchased it. It's not like who ever manages that site would randomly add http://runescape.com into the rotation.

    Jagex buying traffic?

The mistake they have made if they did buy this, People dont actually look at the website, They look at the credits there earning.

I think JaGeX should have a T.v add, It would attract a different audience, I can assure that it would be a success. Since Autofighter.org had a Tv add i think its pretty stupid that JaGeX Aint.

    Jagex buying traffic?

I highly doubt they bought traffic, they are pretty smart when it comes to marketing. Think to yourself, do they really need to buy traffic?

No I'm saying someone made a phising website and linked it to the traffic generating websites. Pretty hard to tell if the website is legit
