    Can someone answer some questions?

I don't understand how Steam account buying/selling works:

    1) is it illegal or just against EULA?

    2) what is the significance of the number of digits in your steam account, why do people want low digit accounts??

    3) how can someone gift you a game for less than it costs? does that put your account at risk of being banned if you accept a gift like that?

    4) do most accounts sold here get banned after a while?

    Can someone answer some questions?

Why do people want low digit accounts like they are gold? Why are older accounts so much more expensive? Because they haven't been banned?

Lower digits are flashy. It's like wearing designer clothes. It doesn't necessarily mean that you are wealthy or a good person, but people are attracted to it.

That seems completely ridiculous... You'd pay an exorbent amount of money for a low digit steam account just for 'ego'...

And why is this illegal and not just against EULA? Do people not play games on these accounts (or if they do, they use a proxy to access Steam)? Do people use their own verified Paypal accounts or do they setup some other one... Because if this is illegal, it seems it would be stupid to connect to the account without a proxy and stupid to make a payment with your verified Paypal.
