Can my runescape account get locked?

So, i changed my runescape account email, after a while I was selling my account for a trusted user. I gave him password to change the email adress. After that, he told that he didnt get the email change confirmation mail. After that i couldnt log in the acc. He showed ss of his mail and no mails from rs.. So can the acc get locked if u change email many times? I sent an password recovery email to his email too twice but he didnt get them. So. Am i getting scammed here or is my acc locked?

 

Either he's dumb, respectfully, or you're being scammed. If you're original owner, I would say just recover the account and do business with someone else (if you haven't been paid).

Screenshot of his email means nothing. He can just delete the email/send it to junk and then take the screenshot. Be careful my man, but seems like a scam.

Also, yes, your account could be locked. But account locking is nothing if you're the original owner, as you can easily make a recovery and be on your way. However, if you're not the original owner chances are that if it gets locked, nobody will be able to recover it and it'll just stay like that. @minics4

 

Yeah. I got scammed. But im the original owner, and didnt give him any recovery info, i think i can recover my acc? Unless he uses it in botting or something ban-able.

 

If you're original owner you can 100% recover account. You'll be asked to fill out the recovery questions and whatnot, and if you don't have recovery questions then other info as old passwords, your ISP (internet service provider). You'll most likely get it back since they'll be to run your ip through their systems and match it to the account creator's ip.

This is all if you're original owner, of course. Email is just the fastest way to recover, but you can easily still get it back if he changed it. Creation details and ip are what matters, not email. @minics4

 

If the account is banned for botting, Jagex will recognize the foreign IP address and quash the ban. I don't see any reason why you couldn't recover your account assuming you are the owner. The system is there for a purpose and if the original owner can't recover it then there's no use for it.
