Halo 3 Error Help?

Hi. I have an acc that I want to put membership on. Someone traded me a 3 month and it wont let me put it on my account. I get an error that says:

Can't retrieve information from Xbox LIVE.
Please try again later.

Status code: 80169d94

Thats exactly how it looks too.
I can take a picture as proof, because he is now telling me I am a scammer because it isn't working on my account? Lol.

I called xbox, and I tried that. They told me to wait. I waited around 15 min, same thing. I dont knowwwww.

Alright. So based on that, I have to add a new credit card to my account with information the same as my contact information and credit card information? Even though i use xbox live cards. Ugh. Alright.

 

Call up XBOX Live and see what they have to say.
