Can I sell this here?

Yes, I read the rules. I'm not sure if this constitutes "blackhat activity" though.

I want to sell an exploit in a site that allows you to get a $200+ item for $25, from a manufacturer.

It isn't really even an exploit, or a glitch. Just a mistake on their part, really.

Am I allowed to sell this here?

 

I don't necessarily see why not. Try to PM a global/admin to find out for sure before trying to sell the "glitch".

I think that this wouldn't be allowed to be sold, because I have seen guides that 'exploit' loopholes locked. You are essentially committing a fraud.

 

It really isn't even a loophole. It's a mistake in the coding on their part, caused by human error of whoever set up the PayPal account.

All you do is click "Buy". It isn't a loophole ^_^

 

But you are still committing fraud by abusing it.

 

I wouldn't think it's fraud, as you are paying the price they tell you to pay.

 

You can try, but abusing a system because of a mistake is wrong. Like I said guides that abuse systems have been locked in the past, like the one that abused a coding error in one of the WSO sites to get pretty much like $20 or more a minute some how.

 

From what I seen in the guide sales, I dont think this is allowed, but I still suggest you to contact the OGV team.

 

That's fraud which is illegal, so I would say no it can't be sold here.

If I'm sellin you weed and I tell you it's $10/G, and you buy it, Then I decide I want to sell it for $20/G, I can't say you committed fraud because I told you it was $10.

 

Your example isn't even related. He is buying a product that is supposed to be $200+ for $25 by abusing their system. Your weed dealer analogy doesn't involve abusing a system.

 

I'd play it safe and say no.

 

People find ways within RS to glitch, doesn't mean its allowed within RS.

 

Your still defrauding them... A relevant example is a banking machine if you find a way to get $200 from a bank machine by depositing $25 your exploiting a malfunction and by doing so putting the company at a loss, whether its a fault of theirs or not it is still fraud as you are illegally obtaining the money and selling a guide on how to defraud something is not allowed.

I'm saying, the fact that they wouldn't give it away for the price shown is wrong. Not that ripping them off is right.

 

So....was there ever an official answer to this?
