Can I run CS:GO on my laptop?

I want to play CS:GO, but don't want to purchase it if I can't run it nicely on my Laptop, it's not a specific gaming laptop but I can play games like WoW and LoL.

Any help?

 

You can definitely play it on low graphics, I've seen 4 year old macbook play it at like 25 fps with low settings.

 

Great, will probably be purchasing this now.
Worst case scenario I'll just have to upgrade my computer anyway.

 

you'll most likely be able to play cs:go, if you can play LOL on it then you might be able to play cs:go too

Wouldn't want to be playing with lag, or for it to be annoying to play on.

 

You can run it on low settings as most of the people here says, but personally I would upgrade my computer/Laptop first so it becomes more enjoyable

 

If you're a very competitive gamer, you'll quickly find that playing CS:GO with low FPS will hinder your ability to play well, and will likely discourage you from playing. If you're able to afford it, I would recommend upgrading your PC.

I have a gaming laptop that's a few years old (Asus G75VW) that has a Nvidia GTX 670M in it, and even that laptop only gets about 100-150 FPS on low settings, if I remember correctly (my memory may be a bit off, because I would stream on it as well)

I would expect your system to get around 40-70, and I personally would go mad playing CS on that.

CS:GO is somewhat of a "heavy" game. It's both CPU and GPU intensive, and although you don't need an amazing system to play it, you still need a decent one to enjoy it its fullest.

 

Alright thanks for that, I'll probably give it a go as I've never played before so I can't imagine myself getting more annoyed at the fact that I can't even play the game rather than the FPS, if anything I will just upgrade my computer anyway.

Depends on the map. The popular maps, you shouldn't have much of a problem. Low FPS, but as a new player you won't really notice. If you do one of the less popular maps, I'll name cobblestone for example, you could get half of what you'd get on dust which is the most popular.

Get it. Should go on sale on steam. Summer sale starts next week if you can wait. Or I'd just get it from somewhere like G2A.

My friend went to a BYOC LAN and placed 2nd with a laptop so I think you can play on it just fine.

 

Steam has a new refund policy anyways you can refund any game you bought in the last 2 weeks and have less than 2 hours played. Just get it, try it and if you don't like it refund it.

 

I run csgo on a mac so im pretty sure you should be able to run it on your laptop
