    simple math help!!

    hey guys. i need to know how to isolate a denomination from a neumerator. I dont remember how to do it, cause im having a brain fart :p i should know because in in trig for pete's sake :p. my question os basically 2.7=x/y where "y" is the denominator. I dont just want an answer, if you can explain how to do this, itd be great. thanks!

    if i'm not mistaken you just move it to the other side, and change it to the opposite value of what it was on the other.

    2.7*x=y


    if i'm not mistaken.

    simple math help!!

    Delta's a little off <3

    it's basically this:

    2.7/1 = x/y

    Cross multiply and it becomes 2.7 * y = x * 1

    2.7y = x

    If you're solving FOR y, divide by 2.7 so you eventually get:

    y = x/2.7
