    Ridiculously Frustrated (PC Help)

Ok, some of you may have seen my other thread asking for someone to help me build my computer.

I started from scratch, raw parts, and managed to successfully build the computer, with the help of LeetNeo (Thanks! ;) )

However, the computer doesn't seem to turn on. We've tried pretty much everything and are completely stuck.

I've just spent 4 hours with a huge headache and a bad back, and the result is a computer that wont turn on.

If you think you can help out, or have any suggestions, please add my MSN asap

    [email protected]

    Thanks a bunch

Do you mean the small wire that you have to connect to the bottom right of the motherboard? It's 1 or 2 pins?

also, when will you be home?

Be sure its not a problem with the board. I don't have much experience with computers, but I have a lot of experience with gaming consoles like Xbox and Playstations.

If you did any soldering, you may have ran the iron too hot and burned the copper off the board. This may or may not prevent the computer from powering up.

Also, check all the capacitors on the board (if a computer has any, I assume it does). Check for bulging caps and leaking/broken capacitors.
