Mass deleting question

hi,
how would i delete a bunch of things after a certain phrase? like this

i have about 3000 lines of those but i just want to delete thing thing after the 2 characters. so the above should look like this

E0
E1
E2
E3
E4
E5 and so on

any suggestions? and it could be saved as a text file or a word file, it doesnt matter i just want the list with only the 2 characters in each row

EDIT:
i figured it out! it took me about 20 minutes of research but what i did was paste the data into excel, used text to columns under data and messed around from there!
