Botting on vps

I have a botting thread getting more and more orders everyday, ive seen all over the forums that bots can be run on vps and be faster, and not use up your computer speed/internet speed. I just want to know 2 things,

#1, Can botting also be done on shared hosting, or only vps/dedicated server?
#2, How do i get the bots to run on vps?

Im good with cpanel, i know how to use about 90% of the features there, so i can understand what you mean when you tell me how to do it.

I don't think you can bot on shared hosting.. I'm not sure though don't take
my word for it.
