Is Drakensang the new runescape?

They say they already have over a million subscribers. It's a browser game with the best graphics I've ever seen in a browser game. Seems like diablo in your browser. It doesn't require an ultra fast pc to play. This just might take away a large part of the RS playerbase.

Now if only there was a Drakensang botting program....

if this game does become more popular than rs then yeah there probably would be drakensang bots.

This is the first that I've heard of Drakensang, so I doubt it's any serious competition for Jagex and Runescape at this point in time.

 

I just watched some vids on Youtube of the gameplay. It looks pretty interesting and the graphics are great for a browser based game I might go check it out one day if I'm bored but I highly doubt it. I find it hard to play multiple games at once, I pretty much just stick to Runescape lol.

 

Reminds me of Sword of the New World from what I saw ...

Then again, being browser based it's impressive.

I've never heard of it up until now, so for atleast a while I don't think it will be the next Runescape, maybe in the future though.

Sounds very interesting, Runescape was bound to die one day tho I think we all knew it was coming we just didn't know when.

Edit: Uhm well I am on Drakensang.com and it appears that the only way to play is to buy the game, and its not browser based? Im confused.

EDIT: Watched a video of the beta, it looks really impressive for a browser game. I might just play this because while runescape is a lot of fun, I don't like it being based as a turn-based game.

 

I've done some research on this game, and it seems to have a fixed plot. (correct me if I'm wrong)
I don't see how a game so "limited" will get as big as RS
