Any known ways to unban an Xbox 360?

Alright, so recently my CONSOLE was banned.. Before I get into what Xbox/Microsoft told me. I have not modded my console. Everything on my console is legit, there was no 'modifications' or 'hacks'. I don't have any modded controllers, and there's nothing about my console against the ToS.

Now, when I called them up, after being hung up on twice, and put on hold for over half an hour, I finally got to the right person. This lady tells me that I had a modded console. I told her no, I don't. She dug a bit further and told me the reason I was banned was because I got into a modded lobby.. I told her I didn't, but I have come across a few hacked lobbies in CoD4/WaW. As some of you know those games were taken over by hackers and you could barely ever find a lobby that wasn't hacked.. She then said, well did you report the person who was hacking? So, I said no.. She says, well that's why you were banned. You didn't report the hacker, therefor they thought that I was hacking, and there's no way for them to reverse a console ban. The fuck?..

I've spent well over $1,000 on this damn company, monthly Xbox Live, several controllers, tons of games, and 2 HD's.. Then they come along and ban me for this bullshit reason so that I have to go buy a new console, and throw more money at them. I'm not going to go and buy a PS3 because of the amount of problems the PS3 has, and I've never been a big fan of Sony. Now, to my point. Does anyone know of a way to unban a console?

If you're telling the truth than that is quite fucked up. My advice would be to call through again until you get to someone who knows how to do their job. Banning your console just because you didn't report a hacker admin is just plain stupid, it's not your responsibility to report people. Ring up again and state that no part of your XBOX was modded, and it is not your responsibility to report people.

This is one reason why I don't do consoles, their system is corrupted to shit and you never know if you insult an abusive admin and find your account banned the next day. I know there's a way to 'unban' your console, but I can't really go any further than that seeing as I don't even own a console. If nothing turns up then you may want to consider PC gaming if you don't want to go to PS3.

 

I don't think I'll ever get into PC gaming.. The fact that every game is hacked more than consoles bothers me, and I like being able to play with my friends in the room. On the computer I just feel so contained, and I've never been able to get used to using a mouse. My dad's girlfriend's parents are loaded, so I'm sure if I ask nice enough they'll get me an Xbox for an early Christmas present, lol.

Same thing happened to me, except I was banned for installing NXE like a week early via USB without Microsoft's permission. Complete bullshit too, as I'm pretty sure HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of people did that lol. I got it from some vid with like 500k+ views...

But on topic, I did a lot of research when they hit me with the ban and as far as I know there is no way to unban a console without modding it.

 

Alright, well thanks for the input broseph. I think I'll just wait for Christmas for a new Xbox and then either sell this one for parts or just smash it for the hell of it.. ^_^

Give it RROD, send it in to MS and they may give you a different refurbished console. As long as you're under warranty it'll be free so might as well give it a shot. Otherwise you can't do anything besides buy a new Xbox. :\
