What do you think is the best gameboy game of all time?

I'll start this thread by going against the grain and picking Link's Awakening as my favorite of all time, not Pokemon. I also give LA the edge in the greatest of all time discussion as well. I honestly enjoyed it more than any other Zelda game.

Link's Awakening, like Pokemon, got many perfect reviews from websites.

My top 5 of all time:
1. Links Awakening
2. Pokemon (Red/Blue/Yellow)
3. Zelda Oracle of Seasons/Ages
4. Yu-gi-oh! The Sacred Cards
5. Dragon Ball Z: Legacy of Goku (1/2/3 I like 2 the best)

I'd say Pokemon red/yellow/blue. I never got into any other games as the screen was so small, it got annoying. It was perfect for pokemon though. I never went past Color, I moved onto consoles by then.

 

I've been playing Roms of all of these games, sooo much more enjoyable this go-round. With a giant screen and can just save anywhere making games less cumbersome. For some odd reason, though, Pokemon is one that I just cant seem to get into again. All the others on my list I have played again on roms and beaten a fair few of them. Strange. Maybe it's because Pokemon kind of feels like a grind? I'm not sure.

11 years of Runescape has sapped me of wanting to do any game that has even a modicum of grind to it. Even Pokemon. Which isn't that grindy, but it feels like it is to me now.

 

I actually have an android and downloaded it on my phone and beat it about 3 months ago. I love emulators

Yessssssss so glad to see other fans of it. Such an underrated series! All other DBZ games are just fighting games, I loved the concept of LOG.

 

Ikr I really want to replay those games , do you know if it's possible to get a gba emulator for iOS?

 

Should be, if not you can download Visual Boy Advance onto your PC and play that way. I just dled 1/2/3 the day I made this thread.

 

Awesome I'm going to get onto it ! I remember a invincibility glitch on number 1 I think where you press Lb or something to fly then you get hit by a Ki blast then it forces you to stop flying and you can't take dmg I think that's how I did it

 

yeah I did it before, but you'd have to download it from a website somewhere, and allow it access to administrator or something like that, it is a fairly easy process that I just did off of youtube though.

What I do is use EmuParadise the website. I download Visual Boy Advance first, then I download the roms. I use Winzip to unzip the files, then you can load them with Visual Boy Advance. Theres one setting you need to change in Legacy of Goku 1 to get it to be compatible (doesn't need to be changed again). Let me know when you do it and I'll find the exact setting. The other 2 will work as is.

You can download all of that stuff free, including Winzip. Winzip just an easier way to get to the files IMO.

 

Can someone ( if anyone is still reading this ) send me a good site for downloading GBA Roms and GBA emulator, I become nostalgic and want to play again?

 

Regular black & white gameboy, i would play pokemon gold a lot lol.
When colour came out I played red emerald and sapphire. Memories lmao.
